For most the factory Ford Bronco headlight is sufficient. But if you are like us, we demand the best and brightest headlights with the latest LED technology. Morimoto Bronco headlights are a great option that features a plug-and-play design and will be brighter, produce a better beam pattern, and be more customizable compared to your stock Bronco LED headlights. Stick with us as we dive into why these lights are an excellent alternative to your stock headlights.
The Morimoto XB LED headlights are a game-changing upgrade for your vehicle's lighting system. They come with ultra-bright daytime running lights (white or amber) and come standard with a wide-lens BI-LED projector that offers superior road coverage compared you your stock Bronco LED headlights.
In addition to the performance gains over stock, the XB headlights feature a sleek Ford GT-inspired design. We also cannot forget to mention that the XB LED headlights are DOT-approved and are direct replacements for your OEM LED headlights.
Morimoto XRGB LED headlights provide the ultimate customization with multiple daytime running light colors that can be easily controlled from a Bluetooth app on your phone. In addition to the RGB daytime running lights, the XRGB headlights provide a 150% increase in max intensity in low beam mode and an 86% increase in high beam mode.
With the included gloss black bezel and LED headlight design, the XRGB is a perfect option for those looking for maximum brightness while still being DOT-approved and street-legal.
Both the Morimoto XB and XRGB headlights can be a great addition to your Ford Bronco. But you might be asking what are the differences between the two. For starters, the XRGB headlights feature a more piano black finish on the housing and the XB headlights have more of a gunmetal gray finish. The XB color aligns nicely with the color of the factory grille so keep that in mind while choosing.
The amount of projectors also differs between the two models. The XRGB features two projectors: one on top for the high beam and one on the bottom for the low beam. The XB series features a BI-LED projector which essentially means one projector with a high beam and a low beam (two chips). In terms of brightness, the XB series likely provides a bit more coverage out to the sides, but the XRGB is considered to be slightly brighter than the XB series.
The daytime running light is potentially another deciding factor when it comes to choosing between the XB and XRGB headlights. The XB headlights function a lot like your stock Bronco lights DRL, but you do have the option to order the lights with a white DRL or amber DRL. The XRGB headlights on the other hand have a more customizable DRL in terms of colors and can actually be controlled on your phone. Note that colors other than white and amber are not street-legal.
Morimoto headlights are excellent, but to complete the look and maximize functionality consider Morimoto ditch light kits. These ditch light kits mount directly to the a-pillar on your Ford Bronco and can be oriented to achieve more side coverage. They come in either white or yellow and feature a combo beam pattern for maximum coverage.
Morimoto also offers performance LED fog lights that can compliment the headlights and ditch lights perfectly.
The Morimoto headlights have not been confirmed to work with the Bronco Raptor.
All Morimoto headlights feature an easy plug-and-play design. Simply remove the stock Bronco headlights and replace them with the Morimoto headlights.
Yes, Morimoto headlights for the Ford Bronco are DOT-approved and fully street-legal. Please be aware that only white and amber DRL colors are street-legal and some of the DRL colors that come on the XRGB are not approved to be utilized on the street.
